The Television Reporting and Programming program aims to educate graduates who can produce content in various formats for television—one of the most widely used audiovisual communication media in Türkiye—by adopting an approach to journalism and programming that is grounded in ethical principles, embraces tolerance toward differences, respects the right to privacy, and upholds the values of our society and culture, and who are capable of participating in every stage of the content production process.

Within the program, both the core courses of the communication sciences discipline and field-specific conceptual and applied courses are delivered by expert academic staff and experienced media professionals who have devoted many years to the profession.

The skills and competencies acquired through the coursework are not limited to the field of television; they are also applicable to other media platforms such as newspapers, radio, and the internet.

In line with the Istanbul Aydın University philosophy, the program primarily aims for its graduates to engage in professional practice with an approach based on human rights and freedoms and a strong sense of social responsibility, and to contribute to the development of a workforce whose professional qualifications meet the needs of the country and are beyond question.
