While the economic dimension of sustainability prioritizes benefits such as cost minimization, improved product quality and delivery times, reduced labor turnover, and profit within supply chains, the environmental dimension considers reducing environmental costs, finding innovative solutions to waste issues, and minimizing waste—including hazardous chemicals, emissions, energy, and solid waste—throughout the supply chain.
