About the Erasmus+ Foreign Language Exam

Students participating in Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility are expected to possess sufficient language proficiency to successfully complete their traineeship abroad. Therefore, language competence is assessed as part of the application and selection process.

Istanbul Aydın University organizes its own Erasmus+ language examination for applicants. In order to be eligible for Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility, students must achieve at least minimum B1 level of language proficiency.

Students may either participate in the University's Erasmus+ language examination or submit an accepted language certificate. Language certificates accepted during the application process include YDS and YÖKDİL results obtained within the last five years and TOEFL results obtained within the last two years. TOEFL score equivalencies are evaluated in accordance with the current equivalency tables published by ÖSYM.

Students who do not submit a valid language certificate are required to participate in the Erasmus+ language examination organized by Istanbul Aydın University. Examination dates and application procedures are announced by the Erasmus Office during each application period.

Language proficiency constitutes an important component of the overall Erasmus+ evaluation score. Students are ranked based on a combination of their academic achievement and language proficiency results.

As accepted language certificates, validity periods, and equivalency requirements may vary depending on the project year, applicants are strongly advised to review the relevant Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility Call for Applications before applying.
