The main mission of the Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Education (BÖTE) is to train computer and instructional technology teachers needed by primary and secondary schools in Türkiye. Students in the department acquire the digital literacy, computer literacy, internet literacy, and other skills required by the 21st century through up-to-date curricula, while also gaining the necessary skills for teaching through pedagogical training courses. Our students take many courses related to computer science. Thanks to these courses, they not only gain teaching skills but also have the opportunity to work in software and hardware companies.

Graduates can be appointed as computer teachers in all state and private primary and secondary schools affiliated with the Turkish Ministry of National Education, while also having the opportunity to work in tutoring centers, the IT sector, and all organizations using computer technologies in the fields of web design, software development, and programming. They can also continue their careers as research assistants at various universities.
