Istanbul Aydın University is pleased to invite distinguished academics, researchers, and promising early-career scholars from around the world to join us in advancing high-impact research, knowledge exchange, and international academic collaboration.

At IAU, we believe that meaningful academic engagement goes far beyond the traditional classroom. Our Visiting Scholar Program is designed to:

1. Support your ongoing and future research through interdisciplinary collaborations, access to research centers, laboratories, and institutional resources.
2. Facilitate partnerships between visiting scholars and IAU departments, institutes, and research groups aligned with your expertise.
3. Offer opportunities—where applicable—to deliver guest lectures, seminars, or workshops related to your field.
4. Enable you to engage with an international academic community, fostering cross-cultural knowledge creation and global networks.
5. Connect you to a university with a strong record in internationalisation and research development.
6. Provide institutional support for publications, joint grant applications, and collaborative projects.
7. Offer accommodation support for visiting scholars, following an initial introduction and program assessment.
8. Provide access to IAU's extensive network of global academic and professional partners.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants for the Visiting Scholar Program should demonstrate:

1. A proven commitment to research excellence, academic development, and international collaboration.
2. A Master's degree or higher (PhD preferred) in a relevant field.
3. Strong English communication skills, as academic interaction is conducted primarily in English.
4. A clear research agenda or proposed project for their stay at IAU.

Application Process

If you wish to be considered for the IAU Visiting Scholar Program, please complete the IAU Visiting Scholar Interest Form and upload:

1. Your updated CV,
   
2. A brief statement of purpose or research proposal,
3. Any additional information about your intended collaborative activities.

Once received, your application will be reviewed by the relevant academic units. Candidates whose expertise aligns with IAU's research priorities will be contacted for further steps.
Where relevant, short-term, mid-term, and remote/online research engagements may also be considered.
