The Textile and Fashion Design Program considers establishing strong and sustainable collaborations with the industry as a key priority in order to enhance students' professional competencies and increase their employability after graduation. The program maintains active relationships with local, national, and international companies operating in the textile and fashion sector, including design studios, manufacturing facilities, fashion brands, and supplier organizations.
Industry Collaborations
Within the scope of the program, joint projects, workshops, seminars, and talks are organized in collaboration with industry representatives. Through these partnerships, students have the opportunity to learn about current industry trends, technological developments, and the expectations of the business world directly from professionals.
Internship and Practical Training Opportunities
In order to enable students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practice, compulsory and/or optional internship opportunities are offered. Thanks to protocols established with sectoral partners, students gain real-world experience in areas such as production, design, quality control, collection development, and marketing. In addition, practical courses are planned in line with the current needs of the industry.
Advisory Board
To continuously improve the quality of education and training, the program has an Advisory Board consisting of industry representatives, academics, and relevant stakeholders. This board provides guidance to the program on issues such as updating the curriculum, strengthening practical training, and aligning graduate competencies with industry expectations.
Through this holistic structure, the Textile and Fashion Design Program prepares its students for professional life not only with technical knowledge but also with industry awareness, professional ethics, and practical experience.
