Nursing is a professional health discipline composed of both science and art, responsible for systematically identifying the health-related needs of individuals, families, and communities that can be addressed through nursing interventions across all areas of health service delivery. Within this framework, nursing involves determining needs in accordance with the nursing diagnosis process; planning, implementing, and evaluating care based on evidence-based data; monitoring the care process; and ensuring the necessary supervision and control mechanisms.
Nursing is also responsible for evaluating the effectiveness and outcomes of nursing care services in accordance with scientific criteria; planning improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality based on the analysis of obtained outcomes; providing feedback to relevant administrative units; and delivering all health services with respect for individual differences, human dignity, privacy, and cultural values.
The language of instruction in the Nursing Undergraduate Program is Turkish. Students who successfully complete the four-year undergraduate education (eight semesters) are awarded a bachelor's degree and the title of “Registered Nurse.” The program follows a traditional education model, offering both theoretical and practical courses, which are delivered by faculty members and instructors who are experts in their respective fields.
