Procedures regarding horizontal transfer, vertical transfer, course adaptation, and recognition of prior learning for the Audiology Undergraduate Program are carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the education and examination regulations of Istanbul Aydın University.
Horizontal transfers are accepted from equivalent programs of higher education institutions in Türkiye and abroad within the framework of announced quotas and academic achievement requirements. Vertical transfers of graduates from associate degree programs to the Audiology Undergraduate Program are conducted based on the results of the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM).
Course adaptation procedures are implemented by evaluating the content and credit equivalency of the courses previously taken by newly admitted or transferred students. Courses deemed equivalent are recognized for exemption and credit transfer, and the student’s course load and duration of study are adjusted accordingly.
The recognition of prior learning is based on the evaluation of knowledge and skills acquired through formal, non-formal, or informal learning. Documented learning outcomes are reviewed by the relevant boards and commissions, and those that are found to be compatible with the program learning outcomes are recognized through exemption and credit transfer. All these processes are conducted in line with the principles of transparency, fairness, and academic quality.
