With the rapid advancement of technology, the animation and cartoon industry has undergone a significant transformation and has reached a level of great potential, placing it among the professions of the future. Along with this transformation, the needs of the field are expected to steadily increase. In this context, the demand for well-equipped, skilled, creative, and technically proficient animation specialists is becoming increasingly important each day.

The Cartoon and Animation Bachelor's Degree Programme at Istanbul Aydın University has been providing education since the 2013–2014 academic year with the aim of training qualified animation designers and animators who will serve in the fields of art, education, cinema, television, and advertising. Our department is equipped with modern technical infrastructure, including workshops, laboratories, and animation studios, in order to offer education that meets contemporary technologies and industry requirements.

Throughout the four-year education program, students gain in-depth knowledge and skills in areas such as cinematic language, film, video, animation, and multimedia techniques. Thanks to this training, our students are prepared to become highly competent professionals capable of demonstrating both conceptual and technical expertise in companies and institutions operating in advertising, cinema, multimedia, and educational sectors.

Our aim is to raise creative, visionary, and technically equipped artists who will make a difference in this field. We hope that our graduates will shape their careers as distinguished individuals who can both meet industry needs and express themselves in various branches of art.
