The admission, recognition and transfer processes for the Graphic Design Program at Istanbul Aydın University are conducted in accordance with the regulations of the Higher Education Council (YÖK), relevant regulations and the university's academic regulations. Applications for lateral transfer, vertical transfer, adaptation and recognition of prior learning within the scope of the program are carried out based on the principles of transparency and equivalence.
Applications for horizontal transfer are evaluated based on the compatibility between the program content of the higher education institution where the student is enrolled and the Graphic Design Program curriculum, the student's overall grade point average, and quota conditions. For horizontal transfers based on the central placement score, the base score for the relevant program for the year of application is taken as the basis. The evaluation process is finalised with the approval of the relevant faculty and university councils.
Vertical transfer procedures for candidates graduating from Vocational Colleges and Open Education Associate Degree Programs are carried out based on the results of the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) administered by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM). The adaptation process after placement is determined by taking into account the student's previous studies.
Recognition of prior learning and exemption procedures are assessed based on the courses previously taken by the student, their documented academic achievements and competencies. Exemption and credit transfer decisions are made by the relevant academic committees based on the equivalence of the course content. All these processes are carried out in a manner that supports the student's adaptation to the education and training process.
