The Department of Health Management carries out its educational activities in alignment with the current needs of the healthcare sector by maintaining continuous and structured collaboration with employers and sectoral stakeholders. In this context, the Department engages with public and private healthcare institutions, health insurance and reimbursement organizations, and health technology companies.
Applied training activities are conducted in various public and private healthcare institutions within the scope of protocols signed between the Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Medicine Florya Medical Park Hospital, the university’s teaching hospital, and the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Health. Through these collaborations, students gain the opportunity to experience the managerial aspects of healthcare services through real-world field applications.
Within this framework, students acquire hands-on experience by observing and practicing managerial processes in healthcare institutions through the SKY462 Professional Field Practice in Health Management and SKY212 Internship courses included in the program. As part of these courses, students actively participate in healthcare service planning and organization, human resources management, quality and patient safety practices, and data-driven decision-making processes.
Feedback from employers and sectoral stakeholders is collected on a regular basis through employer surveys, external stakeholder meetings, graduate feedback, and internship and field practice activities. The data obtained are used as inputs for evaluating program learning outcomes, updating the curriculum, and continuously improving educational processes. This structured approach contributes to the development of students’ professional competencies and enhances the employability of graduates.
