About Us

AYÇEV was reactivated on 12 November 2020 when the previously inactive translation club within Istanbul Aydın University was brought back into operation by students of the Translation and Interpreting Department. The club is not limited to Istanbul Aydın University students and currently has more than 100 members. Led by Club President Caner Akbaba, a senior Translation and Interpreting student, and advised by Research Assistant Cemal Topcu, AYÇEV has adopted the mission of introducing its members to the field of translation, supporting their social development through organized activities, ensuring that students graduate not only with a diploma but also with experience, and enabling them to take active roles in social projects.

To better organize tasks and balance the workload among members, the club has established four teams: Academic, Social Activities, Organization, and Social Media. Members who wish to take an active role in the club can participate in any of these teams. Since its founding day, AYÇEV has continued to stand by its members and anyone who seeks to improve themselves in the translation sector through its mission, vision, activities, and social responsibility projects—and will continue to do so.
