Social Work Application Class
Social work; it is a practice-based profession and an academic discipline that aims at social change and development, social inclusion, empowerment and emancipation of people. It is very important that the social service discipline which has this perspective has a theoretical education in the education curriculum as well as an application-based training process. Social service practice class, which is a laboratory that prepares students to engage in social service intervention for individuals and groups through practice-based courses; to provide students with basic communication and intervention skills accompanied by supervision through individual and group work, communication with play, creative drama and similar methods. The main function of the social work practice class is to ensure that students gain experience with practices that they can reflect on the knowledge and value fundamentals of social work education on a skill basis before starting the profession. It is aimed that students gain practice in the social work practice class used in clinically focused courses to increase the social work skill base.
