The Faculty of Architecture and Design plans to develop a variety of research areas
aligned with contemporary architectural and design practices. Key research areas
include:
1. Sustainable and Green Design – Projects on energy efficiency, environmental impact,
ecological material use, and sustainable urban design are planned.
2. Digital Design and Parametric Modeling – Research groups for BIM, algorithmic
design, 3D modeling, and digital prototyping are intended to be established.
3. Restoration and Cultural Heritage – Work on preservation of historic buildings, adaptive
reuse, and cultural heritage management is being planned.
4. Interior and Spatial Experience Design – Human-centered design, ergonomics,
psychological and aesthetic experience studies are targeted.
5. Industrial Design and Product Development – Research on new product design,
production processes, materials, and technology integration is planned.
6. Urban and Community-Focused Studies – Investigations into urban transformation,
public space design, smart city technologies, and community interactions are intended.
7. AI and Data-Driven Design – Studies on data analysis, AI-assisted design solutions, and
optimization in design processes are planned.
Across these areas, the faculty aims to establish research groups that foster collaboration
between students and faculty and to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation. Mentorship,
hands-on workshops, and hybrid learning methods are intended to support these processes
effectively.
