Employers & Sectoral Partners

The Television Reporting and Programming Program is structured on the basis of strong interaction and collaboration with the media industry. The department maintains close relationships with stakeholders in the media and communication sector; these relationships support students’ professional development through internship opportunities, applied projects, industry collaborations, and advisory board activities.

One of the most important pillars of this process is the Advisory Board and External Stakeholder Meetings, which are held regularly each year. Composed of academics, industry representatives, alumni, and students, the board evaluates sectoral expectations, technological developments, and employment areas in order to ensure the continued relevance and currency of the program’s educational objectives. In addition, academic board meetings incorporate faculty members’ contributions, and recommendations are collected in line with scientific and pedagogical developments; the overall orientation of the program is continuously reviewed.

Educational objectives are structured in alignment with program learning outcomes and course contents and are regularly revised within the framework of the Bologna Process. Feedback from students, graduates, and employers is systematically collected to assess the effectiveness of these objectives, and the resulting data are integrated into quality assurance processes. Furthermore, national and international standards, as well as the criteria of accreditation bodies such as the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and İLEDAK, are taken into consideration to ensure that program objectives remain up to date.

The outputs of all these processes are documented in strategic plans, course information packages, academic board minutes, and internal quality assurance reports, and are shared transparently with stakeholders. The Advisory Board convenes twice a year, once in each academic semester.
