In the Television Reporting and Programming Undergraduate Program, students are regarded as active stakeholders in the teaching and learning process. In order to ensure student participation in governance, student representatives are elected for each academic year, and these representatives serve as the voice of the student body in departmental, faculty, and university-level boards and committees. Student representatives are responsible for conveying students’ academic, administrative, and social views and demands to the relevant units.
To systematically collect student feedback, course and instructor evaluation surveys are administered on a regular basis. Through these surveys, students’ opinions regarding course content, teaching methods, assessment and evaluation processes, and physical facilities are gathered and utilized in the continuous improvement of the program. In addition, within the framework of the academic advising system, each student is assigned an academic advisor, enabling students to engage in one-to-one communication with their advisors on matters related to academic progress, career development, and personal growth.
Participation channels that allow students to directly express their views are established through departmental meetings, workshops, seminars, studio-based activities, and student events. Students may also communicate their opinions, suggestions, and requests to the administration via social media, e-mail, and the student information system. These mechanisms aim to strengthen student participation and to ensure the continuous enhancement of educational quality.
