General Information

Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility enables students of Istanbul Aydın University to undertake a traineeship abroad in a company, research institute, laboratory, organization, educational institution, non-governmental organization, public body, or another relevant workplace related to their field of study. The programme aims to support students’ academic, professional, and personal development by providing them with practical international experience in a real working environment.

Unlike Erasmus+ Study Mobility, traineeship mobility focuses on gaining professional experience and developing practical skills directly related to a student’s academic background and future career objectives. Participants have the opportunity to improve their professional competencies, strengthen their foreign language skills, gain intercultural awareness, and become familiar with international workplace environments and practices.

Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility is open to students enrolled in associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programmes at Istanbul Aydın University. Participants must be registered as full-time students at the time of application. The programme is available across all academic disciplines and study fields.
The duration of a traineeship mobility ranges from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 12 months for each study cycle. Students may participate in Erasmus+ mobility activities for a total of up to 12 months within each study level (associate/bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree).

One of the unique features of Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility is the opportunity to carry out a traineeship after graduation. Students may benefit from a graduate traineeship provided that they apply and are selected before completing their studies. The traineeship must be completed within 12 months following graduation and is subject to the same Erasmus+ rules and eligibility criteria as regular student traineeships.
Traineeships may be carried out in a wide variety of organisations, including private companies, public institutions, research centres, laboratories, educational institutions, foundations, chambers of commerce, non-governmental organisations, and higher education institutions where eligible. The traineeship programme and host organisation must be relevant to the participant’s academic field and contribute to the learning outcomes and professional development objectives of the student.

Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility not only enhances students’ employability and professional skills but also contributes to the development of independence, adaptability, intercultural communication, and global perspectives. The experience provides valuable international exposure that supports participants in both their academic journey and future careers.
